School Bus Kills Pedestrian in O’Fallon

Police in O’Fallon, Illinois are investigating a school bus accident that injured one pedestrian and killed another. On Tuesday afternoon, a school bus transporting several elementary school students was traveling westbound on Highway 50 in O’Fallon when the bus struck two pedestrians. The pedestrians, 36-year-old Junu Rai and 45-year-old Dal Mager, were also walking westbound on the roadway when the accident occurred. Authorities claim they were walking on the roadway where there is little to no shoulder available. Two Killed in Three Vehicle Auto Accident

Nine individuals sustained injuries in a car accident that involved three vehicles on Thursday night. The accident happened in the suburb of Robbins, south of Chicago. Authorities stated that they’re not exactly sure how the accident happened or what caused the crash that occurred at 7:45 p.m. Three vehicles collided near the intersection of 137th Street and Central Park Avenue and nine occupants of the vehicles were injured in the accident. Truck Accident Victim Fighting for Insurance Change

Five years ago, Mike Tomars was rear-ended in a tractor-trailer accident that inflicted him with life-altering injuries. Tomars, 55-years-old, sustained a fractured skull that prevents him from working, being in crowds, bright lights, or reading for more than a short period of time. Woman Injured in Belleville Auto Accident

A single-vehicle auto accident has injured a woman in Belleville on Thursday. The accident happened at approximately 1:40 p.m. when a woman overturned her vehicle along Old St. Louis Road. According to deputies with the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department, the unidentified woman was operating a BMW hatchback passenger vehicle. She was traveling eastbound when the BMW left the roadway, collided with a tree, and overturned in the yard of a housing duplex in the 6200 block. Granite City police are investigating an auto accident that ended with an SUV crashing into a building on Thursday night. At approximately 12:40 a.m. Friday morning, the 20-year-old male driver was operating a Chevy Blazer on Iowa Street at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with a parked car in the parking lot of Schnucks. Illinois Plane Accident Kills Pilot

Over the weekend, a plane crash in the eastern part of Illinois took the life of a man. David Goodwin from Martinsville, Illinois told family members that he was going to go flying, and after they had not heard from him for several hours, they contacted police on Saturday morning and reported him missing. Authorities located the plane crash site near the Indiana border in a Clark County, Illinois cornfield. Explosion Injures Student at SIUE

A Southern Illinois University Edwardsville student sustained injuries in an explosion on Tuesday afternoon. The school accident occurred in a science lab in the science building that has recently been constructed. University officials claim a 23-year-old male student was working with a beaker filled with tetrahydrofuran and potassium when it exploded. The student sustained cuts to his hands and burns to his arms. He received immediate treatment for the burns and cuts then was transported by ambulance to a hospital. A car accident has claimed the lives of three individuals in Ingleside, Illinois during the early hours of Wednesday. Residents of the Chicago suburb were awakened to sounds of helicopters and emergency personnel responding to the crash that happened at approximately 2 a.m. The Lake County Sheriff’s Department stated that a Kia Optima was traveling on Rollins Road when the vehicle veered off the roadway, collided with a tree and burst into flames. On Thursday, 34-year-old Leena Ultsch was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failing to render help or report a death. The charges stem from an auto accident involving a motorcycle during the very early hours on Wednesday near Antioch, Illinois. According to authorities, 50-year-old Gregory Boyes and his motorcycle were discovered along Illinois Route 173 at approximately 4 a.m. Investigators initially believed he had lost control of the 2007 Suzuki when he was driving around a curve. Southern IL Motorcycle Accident Injures Man

Authorities responded to an Illinois auto accident involving a motorcycle on Monday morning in Murphysboro. At approximately 11:32 a.m. 43-year-old Jason Hall was operating his 2012 Kawasaki green motorcycle traveling on old Highway 13 westbound when he was struck by another vehicle. According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, 27-year-old Michael Chancy was driving a 2007 Honda car and attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Highway 13 from Williams Street when he struck Hull's motorcycle in the intersection.
