A car accident occurred Sunday morning, when the 1993 Previa minivan was traveling on Peoria south. The cause of the accident occurred when the driver of the minivan improperly handled a left hand turn and veered off the road whereby the vehicle rolled several times. One of the passengers, who was nineteen years old, was ejected from the vehicle. The ejected passenger was declared dead at the scene.

It is believed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol, marijuana and cocaine at the time of the accident. He has since been charged with Assault II, Manslaughter II, and DUI. The other passengers were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital and were treated for non-life threatening injuries. As a passenger in a motor vehicle you are entitled to rights when the driver of the vehicle you were riding in was negligent.
