Illinois Car Accident Injures One

The Illinois State Police responded to a car accident on Sunday afternoon near Carterville, Illinois. According to authorities, 62-year-old Richard Franks was traveling westbound on Illinois 13 when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned. The accident occurred at approximately 3 p.m. close to North Wolfcreek Road. Franks was seriously injured in the accident and was transported via ambulance to the hospital. Authorities cited Franks for improper lane usage.
