State police said Solis neglected to slow for construction zone speed signs and hit the rear of another semi-trailer truck also known as a semi, 18 wheeler or tractor trailer, driven by Jeremy Armbruster, 30, of Missouri. His semi-trailer, in turn, crashed into the rear of the 3rd semitrailer 43, who's from Illinois. State police didn't possess the people's hometowns. Armbuster and released, and Johnson were treated at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.
For posted construction zone speed signs, Solis was ticketed for failure to reduce rate. Northbound traffic was diverted for about four hours to Old Route 66 while the crash scene was cleaned up. The Atlanta, Logan County Sheriff's Department, Lincoln and Lincoln Rural Fire departments, Logan County Paramedics Association, and state police all assisted at the scene.
